Leadership Walker County
The purpose of the program is to provide advanced leadership training to emerging community leaders. More specifically, the opportunity will be provided for up to 24 participants to become more aware of community issues, needs, services and resources. As a result of this awareness, it is anticipated that those selected will be stimulated and motivated to use their talents and abilities in making our county an even better place in which to live and work.

Leadership Walker County will begin with a mandatory orientation and one-day retreat on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. This will be followed by day-long sessions from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on the following tentative dates: October 10, November 14, December 12, January 9, February 13, March 12, April 9, May 14, and graduation at the June 11 Membership Luncheon.
Fees/Admission
The cost of the program is $450 with participants arranging their own tuition with assistance by their employers. The tuition covers all costs. A change might occur in one or two dates according to individual businesses.
